Outperforms opponent four to one in Ohio donations
COLUMBUS–Kathleen Clyde’s (D-Kent) campaign for Secretary of State today announced it raised more than $385,000 this reporting period. The campaign received more than 1,300 individual Ohio donations. Her opponent had only 321 Ohio donations.
“As our campaign to unrig the system and restore political accountability heads into the homestretch, we’re seeing historic, record-breaking grassroots support from everyday Ohioans who want Kathleen Clyde as our next Secretary of State,” said campaign manager Lauren Durham. “Special interests have bankrolled Frank LaRose’s campaign in an effort to keep their stranglehold over Ohio politics, but voters are ready for new kind of leadership in Columbus.”
The Clyde campaign has raised nearly $3 million to date from more than 22,000 individual donations and has raised more than any Democratic Secretary of State candidate in Ohio history.
